1. Shivpuri
Ramachandra Pandurang Tope was an Indian leader in the Indian Rebellion of 1857 and one of its notable generals. As a personal adherent to Nana Sahib of Bithur his Gwalioi contingent forced General Windham to retreat from Kanpur. He also helped Rani Laxmibai to seize Gwalior.

The incident occurred on 04 Feb 1922. The Indian National Congress halted the Non-cooperation Movement on the national level as a direct result of this incident.

6. August Kranti Maidan
The Gowalia Tank was initially used to bathe cows. Go - Walia comes from the marathi word Gaie (cow) Wala (owner of the cattle). The Maidan that exists over there presently was built over the tank, which still exists underground.
7. Vedaranyam
The Vedaranyam March or Vedaranyam Satyagraha was organised to protest the salt tax imposed by the British Raj in India. The march took place in April 1930 and was led by C Rajagopalachari who was imprisoned for this movement.
8. Vaikom
The movement was centered at the Shiva temple at Vaikom, near Kottayam. Vaikom Satyagraha was a testing ground for the Gandhian principles of Satyagraha

Vandavasi or Wandiwash is a city and a municipality in Tiruvanamalai district in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. Wandiwash is the Anglicised pronunciation of Vandavasi.

Yerwada Central Jail, Pune is a noted high-security jail in Yerwada, Pune, in Maharashtra. This is the largest jail in the state of Maharashtra, and also one of the largest prisons in South Asia now.
